Forward Thinking

Instead of looking back at our latest adventures, I want to take a break from the norm to highlight some of our exciting upcoming plans.

We still have about a month worth of climbing that we want to squeeze in before we head back to Austin. But once there, we want to spend time catching us with everyone that we’ve been sorely missing! We should be in and out of the Austin area for most of the winter.

December:

We’ll be spending a few weeks – starting December 10th – aboard a sailboat in the Bahamas. A friend of ours started an extended sailing trip in January and we’ll be joining him for the final leg of his adventure.

January:

We’ll be heading down to Mexico to spend some time climbing in El Potrero Chico. In the meantime, we have some projects – including a number of improvements on Ludwig – to occupy ourselves.

February:

My brother and his family moved to Budapest for a year long stint beginning in August. I’m hoping to visit them – and see parts of Europe – sometime in February.

Onward:

Once the weather starts to get warm, we’ll resume our standard method of travel as we make our way up the west coast, with the eventual goal of going up to Alaska.

  1. Hey there. I am a friend of Doug and Lynn who linked to your blog. My husband and I did the Pacific Northwest and Alaska in August so let me know if you have any questions once you start to plan. I am just now getting around to updating our blog with the day to day reports on the trip, as well as our planning details so you can continue to check there as well.
