About Us

We decided to live out of a van, travel around North America, and climb. Here’s our story.

I really did like my life; I had a great job, lived in a city I loved, had wonderful friends, and lots of great hobbies. However, when you are satisfied, it’s easy to get complacent and stop pushing yourself. I have always wanted to spend more time traveling, and office jobs just don’t offer the kind of vacation time I wanted. I don’t want to wait until I’m retired – and can’t partake in adventures like climbing – in order to do all the traveling I’ve been thinking about. So I decided to stop thinking and do something about it. So I gave up everything in order to travel around North America with my fiancé, John.

I am a software engineer who likes to rock climb, read, play volleyball, and do pretty much any outdoor activity. I have a borderline over-the-top obsession with all types of puzzles, going as far as subscribing to puzzle magazines, working on a 28,000 clue crossword, and building a slide out table under my desk for jigsaw puzzles.

    Hey guys,

Really great stuff! very impressed with your build, especially the side-door kitchen!

I am working on a 98 E250 at the moment and have two quick questions for you.

That bike rack is awesome, really want something like it, what is the name/brand/model?

In your video you said the swivel seat was worth it, where did you get the swivel from? I’ve been looking for used ones but having trouble finding one.

The bike rack is Yakima brand, not sure of the make/model. We just looked for swing-out bike racks on Craigslist and found lots of options.

We ordered the swivel seat from shop4seats.com

Good luck! And let me know if you have any other questions!
