American Ninja Warrior
I got an opportunity to compete on NBC’s show, American Ninja Warrior. While it didn’t go as well as I would have liked, it made for a great experience.
Crack Addiction
I made an effort to improve my opinion of crack climbing while at Indian Creek, and then followed it up by visiting Arches National Park.
Grand Expectations
We’ve been doing touristy stuff, like visiting the Grand Canyon, Four Corners, Monument Valley, and Sedona.
Rattlesnake Run-in
I had an extremely close call with a rattler, but managed to follow it up with some fun times climbing at Jack’s Canyon
On the Road Again
We finally left Phoenix and headed to southern Arizona, out into the vast wilderness of the Cochise Stronghold and Mount Lemmon.
Cop Encounters
We had our first – albeit friendly – encounter with the police. Otherwise, it’s been more work on the van, hiking, and planning our next steps.
Reluctant Networking
I have been forced to re-evaluate my lifelong love/hate relationship with technology – and more specifically social media – in order to stay in contact with people while traveling.
Life Adjustments
Now that our friends’ wedding (and the hotel stay) has ended, we’ve had to actually start adjusting to van living.
It Has Begun
We officially started our trip by piling everything into the van and heading to Phoenix.
